      Well, to start off, it's not because you're weak and it's not because you don't respect yourself. On the contrary, I'm sure you've become very strong from having to put up with all the bullshit the weight loss industry throws at you everyday. The magazines, the books, the CDs, the DVDs, the weight loss clubs - buy this, buy that - it's endless!

     There's a new diet every week that promises to make everyone into super-models...

     And do all these new diets actually help you lose weight?

     The truth is yes, dieting can work... but only for a short time. Most weight loss programs nowadays are based upon depriving your body instead of giving it what it needs for sustained weight release. You can only deprive your body so long before your natural “anti-starvation mechanisms” take control. This is the point where you finish dieting and you start actually eating again...a lot.

     In the overwhelming majority cases, when you're finished dieting, you quickly regain those pounds you lost... and in some cases you gain even more weight after dieting than you had when you started.

     It's the same old story for millions of people and it doesn't make sense at all. But I'm going to let you in on a discovery that changed all that...

     Most weight loss programs only work if you can force yourself to do something you really don't want to do for an extended period of time. As you may have already experienced, you can only force yourself to do something you dislike for so long before you lose your motivation and give up entirely. Willpower is a function of your conscious mind and it is a limited resource. Any positive results you experience from a weight loss program that involves forcing yourself to do something you don't want to do will be temporary at best.
